One owner has replied that he has always run the car on unleaded I have a Midget - so knowledge of the engine isn't 1st hand.

I've just bought a Midget. The chap I bought it off says it will be ok to put unleaded petrol in it although I don't think any modifications have.
Description:You are most welcome. Most engines that have survived this long without lead in petrol have been modified to accept lead free fuel. If not, I won't, and the buyer can do it. This apparently greatly increases the cetane burning rate of fuels, which results in more efficient combustion and an improvement in fuel economy. So I've been a fan of hardened inserts ever since.
