Description:Hi, I'm considering pursuing a career in teaching, and am interested to hear from other people who have also taken up teaching as a mature age student. A bit about my situation first. I spent several years working in IT projects for a bank although I had no degree, and worked my way up from the call centre. At the time I left, I was a Senior Business Analyst, working on project requirements and implementation. While I enjoyed the nature of the work, the work environment was soul crushing, as the corporate world wasn't a good fit for me.
